Overview
Purpose:
Famalco is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join the accounts department. As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our company and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. You will work closely with other departments to ensure financial compliance and provide critical financial insights to upper management. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess exceptional analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day to day financial operations
- Managing the preparation of financial statements and reports analyses in accordance with regulatory standards,
- Developing and managing annual budgets and track expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines,
- Supervising staff accountants and provide training and guidance to ensure accurate financial record-keeping,
- Monitoring cash flow and make recommendations to improve cash management practices,
- Collaborating with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with audit requirements,
- Implementing and maintaining financial controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial reporting
- Generate management accounts in line with company standards
Requirements/Abilities:
- ACCA Qualified or in the final process of gaining ACCA or similar qualifications
- 3+ years of related experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Detail oriented and highly organized,
- English & Maltese speaking (knowledge of the Italian language is considered an asset),
- Proficient in basic computer applications such as MS Word and MS Excel,
- Team player.
