Commercial Director job in Malta
Scope of the Role:
Famalco Holdings is a privately held, family owned, diversified and dynamic organisation running an array of companies with its unique lean and agile management style. Famalco, is currently seeking to recruit an entrepreneurial business leader with a demonstrated track record of driving transformational growth, both through strategy development and implementation.
The chosen candidate will be designated to oversee and manage the daily operations of a particular business sector from within Famalco’s investment portfolio. Using in-house business solutions, the selected candidate can focus on achieving his managerial objectives benefiting from the existing support infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Gain industry intelligence through market research and competitor analysis;
- Create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities;
- Develop and implement commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives;
- Negotiate with and maintain relationships of stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors;
- Finalise timescales, costs and resources for a project;
- Monitor performance of projects and commercial activities using key metrics;
- Report regularly to Directors about management and operational matters
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a commercial director or a senior manager;
- Financial management background;
- An advanced level of education, preferably a degree in business or project management;
- Strong communication, persuasion and presentation skills;
- Business management skills;
- Leadership skills;
- Fluency in written and spoken English, Maltese and preferably also Italian.
- Problem solving and decision making.
