Head of Automotive Sales Job in Malta.

Scope of the Role:

Famalco is currently seeking to recruit a Head of Sales who will be responsible for overseeing the sales operations of our automotive brands, SsangYong and Fapi Motors.  Forming part of Famalco Holdings investment in Dublin, Ireland, and the UK, the ideal candidate requires strong leadership, sales management, and customer service skills as well as a deep understanding of the automotive industry and market trends.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies that maximize revenue and profitability;
  • Hire, train, and manage sales staff, ensuring they meet or exceed sales targets and customers’ expectations;
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty;
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth and improvement;
  • Work closely with the marketing and advertising teams to develop effective campaigns and promotions that drive sales and increase brand awareness;
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders;
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activity, inventory, and customer data;
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the sales processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field;
  • 5 + years of experience in the automotive sales or related field, with at least 2 years in a sales management role;
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders;
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions;
  • In-depth knowledge of the automotive industry, including market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity;
  • Proficiency in sales and customer relationship management tools and software;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong organizational skills.
