Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our Finance team and support the Automotive Division. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting operations related to vehicle sales, servicing, parts, and inventory, while ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records for the Automotive Division
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including supplier and customer invoices
- Record and reconcile vehicle sales, servicing income, and parts sales
- Assist with inventory accounting for vehicles, spare parts, and consumables
- Perform account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filings related to automotive operations
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company procedures
- Support budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting for the Automotive Division
- Provide general administrative and accounting support to the Finance department as required
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or in final year of studies)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
