Overview
Purpose:
Fruitland Ltd, a subsidiary of Famalco in the wholesale of fresh produce business, is seeking to recruit a self-motivated, hard-working Spot Sales Delivery Person to join its organization. The Spot Sales Delivery Person is responsible for conducting regular visits and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of products to customers. Spot sales usually refer to transactions where products are bought or sold on the spot. During these visits the spot sales delivery person would be conducting on-the-pot selling to customers as well as efforts to acquire new potential customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery Management: Ensure the prompt and safe handling of products to customers who have made spot purchases.
- Order Verification: Verify order details, product quantity, quality, and to ensure bill accuracy.
- Loading and Unloading: Load products onto the delivery vehicle and ensure proper securing of the load to prevent damage during transportation. Unload products at the customer’s location.
- Route Planning: Efficiently plan routes to optimize time and fuel usage, ensuring timely visits.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Documentation: Complete delivery and inventory paperwork accurately and promptly, ensuring all necessary records are maintained.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle, such as checking fuel levels, tire pressure, and fluid levels, and report any issues to the appropriate department.
- Communication: Communicate any delays, issues, or discrepancies to the relevant supervisor.
- Adherence to Regulations: Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe and compliant delivery process.
- Problem Solving: Effectively handle unexpected situations, such as traffic delays or customer concerns, to ensure smooth deliveries..
Requirements/Abilities:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Physical fitness for loading and unloading items.
- Familiarity with local traffic routes.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines.
- Social skills and selling skills would be considered as an asset
