Overview
Scope of the Role:
Forming part of Famalco’s IT team and reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, the Web Developer is responsible to develop new websites, maintain current websites and handle all technical aspects of the website.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the company’s various websites;
- Implementation of WordPress solutions, such as plug-ins and templates;
- Performance optimization of existing site;
- Working closely with service providers;
- Provide reports as required to supervisor.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Understanding SEO best practices;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite;
- Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, WordPress & PHP;
- Possession of an IT-related qualification considered an asset;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
- A positive person with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn;
- Search Engine Optimisation;
- Website Performance Optimisation;
- Being able to work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while maintaining focus;
- Attentive to detail;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks as required.
