Position Overview:
Faceworks Ltd is seeking to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Finance Officer to support the company’s financial operations and ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and internal control processes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity while supporting management with timely and reliable financial information.
Role Overview:
The Senior Finance Officer will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, assist in financial reporting, and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations. The role requires strong analytical capability, organisational discipline, and the ability to operate within a structured finance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Monitoring and reconciling general ledger accounts.
- Overseeing accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Performing bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
- Assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with tax obligations.
- Supporting year-end audit processes and liaising with external auditors.
- Ensuring adherence to internal financial controls and procedures.
- Assisting management with financial analysis and reporting requirements.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professionally qualified or in advanced stages of ACCA / ACA / CPA will be considered an asset.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and Maltese VAT regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Fluency in spoken Maltese is mandatory due to regular interaction with local clients, suppliers, and operational teams.
