Overview
Purpose:
As a Sign Maker and Installer, you will be responsible for the production, assembly, and installation of various types of signage for our clients. This role requires a combination of creativity, technical skills, and attention to detail to effectively design, fabricate, and install signage that meets clients’ specifications and enhances their brand visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sign Design: Collaborate with clients to understand their signage needs and conceptualize designs that align with their branding guidelines and preferences. Utilize graphic design software and traditional design techniques to create visually appealing sign layouts and mock-ups.
- Material Selection: Evaluate different materials such as vinyl, acrylic, PVC, aluminium, metal, wood, and LED lighting components to determine the most suitable options for each signage project based on durability, aesthetics, and budget considerations.
- Fabrication: Set up and operate various tools and machinery such as large and grand format printers, vinyl cutters, CNC routers, laser engravers, and other equipment to fabricate sign components according to design specifications. Ensure precise measurements and quality craftsmanship throughout the fabrication process.
- Assembly: Assemble sign components including letters, graphics, frames, and lighting elements to construct finished signage products. Apply vinyl graphics, paint finishes, and other decorative elements to enhance the appearance of the signs.
- Installation: Conduct on-site surveys to assess installation requirements and determine optimal placement for signage. Safely install signs using appropriate mounting techniques and hardware, adhering to local building codes and safety regulations.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients throughout the design, production, and installation process. Address any concerns or requests promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
- Quality Assurance: Responsible to maintain a clean working environment and ensure high standards of quality control throughout all stages of sign production and installation. Aiming to deliver flawless end products that meet and exceed client expectations.
Requirements/Abilities:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Physical fitness for loading and unloading items.
- Familiarity with local traffic routes.
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines.
- Social skills and selling skills would be considered as an asset.
- Knowledge of Maltese and English Languages is a must.
